Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using flint, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

- If you are under 18, you need parental consent
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
Service Description
flint is a habit tracking application that helps users build positive habits through photo proof and social accountability.
- Track daily habits and build streaks
- Upload photos as proof of habit completion
- Connect with friends for social accountability
- Send and receive encouraging nudges
- View friends' progress and completion rates
- Comment on and interact with friends' posts
- Create or join Pacts to compete on a shared habit
- Add a Home Screen widget and share streak cards
User Accounts
Account Registration
To use flint, you must create an account with a valid email address and username. You may only create one account per person.
Account Responsibility
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account are your responsibility
- Ensure your account information is accurate and up-to-date
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
User-Generated Content
Content Ownership
You retain ownership of photos and content you upload to flint. However, by uploading content, you grant us a license to use it within the service.
License Grant
By uploading content, you grant flint a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and use your content to provide and improve the service.
Prohibited Content
- Explicit, sexual, or inappropriate content
- Violence, weapons, or dangerous activities
- Hate speech, discrimination, or bullying
- Spam, scams, or commercial advertising
- Personal information of others without consent
- Content that promotes self-harm or eating disorders
- Illegal activities or substances
- Fake or misleading habit completion
Copyright and Intellectual Property Complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that content on flint infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact@getflint.app including:
- Your name, address and contact details
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The specific content you believe is infringing, and where it appears in flint (for example, a username and the date of the post)
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate
- Your physical or electronic signature
We review every complete notice and remove or disable access to infringing content where appropriate. We may also disable the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Intellectual Property
flint and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by flint and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Disclaimers
Service Availability
flint is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Health Disclaimer
flint is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of qualified health providers.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall flint be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the service.

Changes to Terms

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the state of Massachusetts.
Apple App Store
The following applies when you download flint from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are an agreement between you and Vinicios Cunha only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for flint or its content.
- Your licence to use flint on Apple devices is a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for flint.
- If flint fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to flint.
- Vinicios Cunha, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to flint, including product liability claims, claims that flint fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- If a third party claims that flint infringes their intellectual property rights, Vinicios Cunha, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you.
Governing Language
These Terms are published in several languages for your convenience. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version governs.
